Early Reach with OVR — Looking Ahead to Adulthood

By the time your son or daughter turns 14, transition information will be included in the IEP.  These are the first steps in planning for life after high school.  The three areas under consideration are further education or training, employment, and independent living in the community. Our guest will be a representative from The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR).  A few years before students receive direct assistance, the OVR Early Reach Program provides general information and guidance to help students and families prepare for the years ahead.
